Actives & Ingredients

Many Eye firming products (from creams to gels) have poor performance results because they are largely synthetic chemicals, simply designed to create a ‘lift’ feeling on the skin. They are extremely drying and strip the skin of natural oils, causing further premature ageing by dehydrating the skin, increasing fine lines and wrinkles. So, you get a quick fix but the problem worsens in the long run.

In fact, many surgeons who perform facelifts are finding large build-ups of crystalised gel under the eyes and within the bags, from synthetic gels and serums.

Our natural Firming Eye Cream contains Poppy Extract and other botanical ingredients which are completely different. Ingredients which help the skin feel firmer without dehydrating or causing irritation.

Our cream also contains vital oils which provide amino acids and vitamins, they encourage stronger elastin and fibres, helping to prevent sagging and bags in the long run.

Good to Know: This product contains 100% natural ingredients, is Vegetarian and Vegan-friendly, Steroid free and with no synthetic preservatives or perfumes   SO VERY SUITABLE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

How To Use

Apply to clean skin a tiny amount around around the eyes, you do not need a lot nor do you want to overload the skin around your eyes with too much product.

The ideal way to use this is take some and apply on the Neck/ Décolleté area and with the residual apply around the eye area, then back of hands and this will get the right amount on the areas.

RECOMMENDATIONS: use one of our powerful anti-ageing facial oils during the day to stop free radical damage, which is the root cause of skin ageing. Using both a facial oil and eye cream in your routine is a major increase in protecting your skin from premature ageing.

Unadulterated Active Ingredients

Poppy Seed extract

Deeply nourishes and moistures the skin, improves skin's barrier function, prevents moisture loss, softens and smooths the skin.

Poppyseed is rich in several different fatty acids, as well as in addition to antioxidants.

Linoleic acid - Linoleic acid is important for maintaining the water barrier of the skin

Oleic acid - Oleic acid may play a role in wound healing. It can also increase skin absorbance of other compounds that are present along with it.

Palmitic acid - Palmitic acid is the most common fatty acid in your body. It can also be found in the skin. One 2010 study observed that levels of palmitic acid actually decreased with age.

Aloe Vera

Providing moisture to cuts on the skin can help facilitate healing, this is due to a compound in aloe vera called glucomannan, which can help with wound and sunburn healing by improving collagen production. That healing is helped along by antioxidant vitamins C and E. The antibacterial properties allow aloe vera to be useful for the treatment of minor cuts and wounds to prevent infection and also contribute to how it can be effective for acne.

Did you know only 42% of natural skin care brands on the market are actually natural (and often only partly).

In the new study it revealed how the word “natural” is being misused to market non-natural skincare products.

Research conducted by skincare specialists THE DERM REVIEW analysed the ingredient lists of the top 100 best-selling natural skincare products and found that more than half (58%) contained synthetic ingredients, while all the “natural” serums in the study contained at least one synthetic ingredient.

The majority of the synthetic ingredients found in the products had a role to play in irritating the skin.

Are These Anti Ageing Ingredients Safe?

  • Hyaluronic Acid

No.

When using it, if you are not using in a humid environment, it can draw water/hydration out of your skin leaving it dryer and tighter than before.

It can also be irritating as many products use a low molecular weight of HA to help it get into the skin, however, this low molecular weight has been shown in studies to be inflammatory for some skins, leading to redness, soreness and irritation.

The production process which HA goes through to get to this molecular weight transforms it into a totally different substance to that which is found naturally in the body.

  • Vitamin C

We love vitamin C in skincare as part of a natural organically derived formulation. It can brighten the skin and is an antioxidant that protects the skin.

However, most of the products on the market use synthetic, unnatural potencies which can cause oxidisation for the skin. This is the opposite of what you are told.

Synthetic vitamin C can react very easily with other molecules, including oxygen. When this happens, it can lead to acne, collagen loss, elastin loss, inflammation and irritation

  • Retinols

No. They are not. Please don’t use them.

They damage the skin, the skin barrier and can alter your molecular biology all for a short term gain but with long term dangers.

Many of the studies showing the benefits of retinol are flawed.

  • Silicones

The use of silicones in skincare baffles us. The only benefit it brings to any product is ‘slip’ - the way the product feels; as, it gives a velvety texture which then is transferred to the skin, so the skin can look smoother but there’s no actual skin benefit. Just another example of products being developed by marketing departments.

In short, we don’t like them because they have zero therapeutic benefits to the skin.
